Michael Barsamian – Developer

In 1971, Mr. Michael Barsamian purchased 450 Belgrade Avenue in West Roxbury and opened the first Lord’s & Lady’s Hair Salon. He expanded the location from 1,500 sq. ft. to 7,000 sq. ft. and by 1980 had opened an additional four locations. He currently operates 25 hair salons in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire with over 700 employees that generate over $25,000,000 in annual revenue.

Mr. Barsamian founded the Green Tangerine Spa & Salon in 2004 which now has four locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut. In 2008, he built two luxury hair salons in Boston and New York, both of which are in Mandarin Oriental Hotels.

Belgrade Place
Mr. Barsamian acquired, entitled, built and operates this 39-unit luxury apartment building in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. Belgrade Place is located in the heart of the Centre Street commercial district directly on two MBTA Commuter Rail stops. Belgrade Place has been 100% occupied since it delivered in 2012 and achieves top of the market rents in a building with condominium finishes.

1047 Commonwealth Avenue
Mr. Barsamian led a team of investors that purchased this vacant two story commercial building abutting Boston University on Commonwealth Avenue. Mr. Barsamian worked with the City of Boston to entitle the project for 180 micro units with the entitlements allowing for an additional four floors of vertical development above the existing two-story structure. Mr. Barsamian and his partners sold the entitlements in 2014.

Bridge Street Apartments
Mr. Barsamian owns and manages five rental townhomes in Dedham, Massachusetts which he purchased in 1974.
